After a year of incredible racing, Vivek Kanthan capped off his season with a wet and eventful finale at the 2020 New York State Championship. The 12th annual event was held at Oakland Valley Race Park on Sunday, November 1st.
The stakes were high and the conditions were not ideal — the race start was delayed due to rain and wet track conditions. Despite these hurdles, Vivek qualified first, and began the race at Pole Position.
The racing was as messy as the track conditions, with multiple incidents leading to a red flag halting the contest midway through. Despite the adversity, Vivek fought his way to a podium finish, taking third place by the time he crossed the finish line.
This was Vivek’s final race of the 2020 season. Up next is the 2021 SKUSA Winter Tour in January, at Homestead, Florida. EverWash is proud of Vivek for his performance this season, and look forward to another season of racing in 2021!
